Bio
Rachel Evans enters her role as Assistant Volleyball Coach at College of the Redwoods in 2025 with a diverse background in playing, coaching, and strength and conditioning. A former NAIA student-athlete, Evans developed a strong foundation in the sport through both her high school and collegiate playing career before transitioning into coaching.
Evans brings over a decade of coaching experience across multiple levels, including seven seasons of club volleyball, eight years at the high school level, and four years of coaching middle school athletes. Her extensive background allows her to effectively support athlete development at every stage and contribute to a competitive and growth-focused program.
In addition to her on-court coaching experience, Evans has more than 11 years of experience in strength training, conditioning, and fitness. She integrates this expertise into athlete development by emphasizing movement quality, injury prevention, and long-term physical resilience. Her approach prioritizes purposeful training sessions that challenge student-athletes while promoting confidence and sustainable performance.
Evans holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is committed to fostering a positive, disciplined, and development-driven environment within the Redwoods volleyball program.
