Bio
Harris joined College of the Redwoods as the Head Softball Coach in 2024, bringing an accomplished playing and coaching background at the collegiate and elite travel-ball levels. She played six seasons at Cal Poly Humboldt (2018–23) and competed for 12 years with a top Sacramento-based travel program. Prior to arriving at CR, Harris served as Cal Poly Humboldt’s interim head coach during the fall semester, guiding the Lumberjacks to an undefeated fall season. She also coached a Sacramento-area 18U Gold travel team for three years.
As a private instructor, Harris has worked extensively with athletes in the Sacramento area, specializing in hitting development, catching instruction, and defensive mechanics. Several of the athletes she trained went on to achieve significant success in college, including a catcher who attended Sierra College and earned Cal JC Catcher of the Year honors. Another athlete went on to compete at FRC, where she led the conference in runners thrown out, highlighting elite receiving and throwing development. Harris has also helped prepare athletes to earn NCAA Division II scholarships, with multiple players stepping in and making an immediate impact as standout performers at their programs.
As a player, Harris built one of the most decorated careers in Cal Poly Humboldt and CCAA history. She holds the CCAA records for career stolen bases (169) and career runs scored (190), and set the single-game stolen base record with six against Texas A&M International on February 2, 2023. In 2023, she stole 56 bases, tying for third all-time in NCAA Division II single-season history. Harris also ranks among the CCAA career leaders in several offensive categories, including at-bats (769), triples (18), hits (271), and starts (239).
A consistent two-way contributor, Harris posted a .371 career batting average with 271 hits, 14 home runs, 121 RBIs, and a .420 on-base percentage while starting all 239 games of her collegiate career. Defensively, she recorded a .967 fielding percentage while playing behind the plate, at shortstop, or in center field.
Harris earned All-CCAA honors four times, including First-Team recognition as both a catcher and an outfielder. She was also a two-time NFCA All-West Region First-Team selection (once at catcher and once as an outfielder), a D2CCA Second-Team honoree, and an NFCA Third-Team All-American as a catcher in 2022. During her final season, Harris was named CCAA Player of the Week (April 2023), earned the 2023 Rawlings Gold Glove Award in center field, and was named Tournament of Champions MVP.
Harris graduated from Cal Poly Humboldt in Spring 2022 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She earned her master’s degree in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine in Fall 2025, gaining experience and mentorship alongside the staff of one of the nation’s top NCAA Division II programs.
