Bio

Coach Purify graduated from Eureka High in 2004. He played both wide receiver and defensive

back on the undefeated 2003 “Dream Team”. Mo moved on to San Francisco City College where he received a scholarship to play wide receiver for the University of Nebraska. He then signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2008. Purify ended up playing in the Arena League where he won four consecutive Arena Bowls with the Arizona Rattlers and San Jose Sabercats. According to Wikipedia he is considered one of the best receivers in AFL history with over 6,000 receiving yards and 150 touchdowns in his career. Purify has coached for a handful of arena football programs as well as coaching at Eureka high school from 2017-19 as the wide receiver and defensive backs coach. Coach Purify joined the College of the Redwoods staff in the spring of 2022. Purify has two sons, Maurice Jr. and Kingston, and a daughter, Halle.
