Talty joins four-year program, while Gossi commits to Redwoods

By Ray Hamill — A productive offseason continued for head coach Bree Northern and the College of the Redwoods women’s basketball team this week.

Sophomore guard Nora Talty officially announced she is taking her talents to a four-year program, and just a few days later Ferndale High senior Madison Gossi signed her letter of intent to play for the local community college, becoming the fourth offseason recruit for Northern.

Talty, who has enjoyed tremendous success both at CR and Arcata High, is moving on to play at the Oregon Institute of Technology, joining an NAIA program that has enjoyed plenty of success in recent years.
